The course aims to provide workers with the skills needed for a successful risk assessment and explains the different control measures that can be put in place.

As a rule, anyone who might enter an area containing asbestos, or who might come into contact with asbestos containing materials, should complete an approved asbestos awareness training course (with further training required for anyone required to remove or handle asbestos).
The course will explain the factors associated with working with asbestos, the steps to be taken to identify the risks of working with asbestos, the measures you can take to eliminate or reduce risk and will cover your responsibilities (as well as those of the people you come into contact with).

An onscreen presenter takes you through the training step by step, it is fully animated with high quality graphics, interactive activities to practice your new skills and video.
The online assessment is spread throughout the training and taken on at the end of each learning section. Overall you will be asked 16 multiple choice questions with an overall pass mark of 80%. You will receive instant onscreen feedback on whether you've passed at the end of the training and an email will be sent to you with confirmation. If you don't pass don't worry! You can take the training once more with no extra charge.
It takes under an hour to complete the course in full and this can be spread out over multiple sessions or completed in a single session.
